Michael Hofmann (b. 1944 in Chemnitz, Germany) studied at the High School for Fine Art at Dresden from 1969 and graduated with a Masters degree under Professor Bondzin. Since 1977 he has been a freelance artist, since 2002 also active as a teacher at the Free School at Bad Reichenhall. His works – coloured woodcut engravings, glass windows, painted tables etc. – are to be found in public spaces, museums, collections and exhibitions. Michael Hofmann lives and works in Radebeul, Germany.

I don’t really like Andrew Marr of the BBC… Champagne Socialism seems a contradiction of terms - but the above quote from him struck a chord as he obviously didn’t want to become a regular tourist in such a fragile ecosystem and thus add to it’s eventual destruction.
